in Italy. In fact the hostel
makes use of an advanced water purification system, energy
saving by means of solar panels, the use of rain water, and
the separation and recycling of refuse. Situated at the centre
of the Polvese Island natural park, a splendid natural oasis
(as defined by the European certification ISO 14001 Reg. Emas)
with interesting scientific and didactic research projects,
the hostel has family rooms with two to five beds, common
rooms, convention rooms and mini apartments fitted with a
kitchen. There is a friendly, family atmosphere and particular
care is taken in the kitchen to ensure the food is typical
of the region, where possible home grown organic vegetables
and herbs are used. This makes the hostel an ideal place for
those who love the tranquillity of life in the open air. It
is also a good starting point for those who wish to visit
all the places of interest between Umbria and Tuscany. To
reach the island there is a ferry boat service every 40 minutes.
It is also possible to arrange excursions to "Pescaturismo". |
